AI-powered search engine ChatGPT Search is now open to everyone
OpenAI has announced that the ChatGPT Search function is now available without requiring a login. This means that users without a ChatGPT account can also take advantage of this Google and Bing competitor.
Initially launched in October for paid subscribers and later extended to all users in December, ChatGPT Search is now accessible to everyone without the need to sign in. OpenAI has removed the login requirement, making the AI search tool more widely available.
ChatGPT Search is now open to all
Previously, users had to click the web search icon to activate the ChatGPT search function. Now, ChatGPT automatically determines whether to perform a web search or simply generate an AI response.
Additionally, ChatGPT Search does more than just provide answers; it also displays a list of sources for transparency, allowing users to better evaluate the credibility of the information.
With the latest update, ChatGPT Search can now show maps, images, and even descriptions of notable places and landmarks.
