Google AI Mode launched in 180 countries
Google has taken a major step toward bringing artificial intelligence into everyday life and especially Search. The company has announced that AI Mode is now available in over 180 countries. Previously, it was limited to the US, India, and the UK, and for now, it only supports English. Google confirmed that more languages will be added soon, but Turkey and most European countries are excluded from the list.
New capabilities in AI Mode
Google has expanded AI Mode by introducing “agent” features. In the first stage, this focuses on restaurant reservations. Google AI Ultra subscribers can now provide details such as date, time, party size, location, and cuisine preference to get the best dining options.
The system scans platforms like OpenTable, Resy, Tock, Ticketmaster, StubHub, SeatGeek, Booksy, and redirects users directly to booking pages. Currently, this feature is available via Google Labs under the test “Agentic capabilities in AI Mode.”
Personalized search in the US
For US users, personalized results are now part of AI Mode. At the moment, it is limited to food and restaurant searches. For example, users who previously searched for Italian cuisine or showed interest in vegan restaurants will see more tailored suggestions in future queries.
Additionally, users in the US can now share AI Mode results. By simply pressing the “Share” button, results can be copied as a link and shared with friends or family.
