Honor Play10 new model unveiled
Honor Play10 launched with Android Go, expandable storage and 3.5mm jack
Honor has officially introduced its new budget-friendly smartphone, the Honor Play10. Unlike other models in the Play series, including last month’s Play10C, this one is 4G-only and runs on Android Go Edition.
The device is powered by the Helio G81 chipset and comes in two variants – 3/64GB and 4/128GB. Storage is expandable via microSD cards up to 1TB, which is a big improvement compared to the Honor Play9A with its Helio G36.
It features a 6.74-inch LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1600px. The selfie camera is 5MP, while the rear shooter is 13MP. Both cameras can record 1080p videos.
The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery, though charging is limited to 10W via USB-C 2.0. Dimensions are 167.7 x 77.7 x 8.55mm, and the weight is 189g.
Extra features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, FM radio, fingerprint scanner, and microSD slot. However, there’s no NFC support. Connectivity options cover Wi-Fi 5 (ac) and Bluetooth 5.1. Color options are Ocean Cyan, Starry Purple, and Midnight Black.
Pricing hasn’t been announced yet, but the phone is expected to be offered as a “free on contract” deal in many markets.
