iPhone 17 Pro & Pro Max: Bigger Batteries and 48MP Cameras!

Apple has officially unveiled the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, marking a major redesign. Moving away from titanium, Apple now uses 7000 series aluminum for a stronger and lighter unibody. Available colors: deep blue, cosmic orange, and silver.

Both sides are protected with Ceramic Shield, and the front panel introduces Ceramic Shield 2, claimed to be 3x more scratch-resistant and 4x more durable.

The iPhone 17 Pro features a 6.3" display, while the Pro Max goes up to 6.9". Both are Super Retina XDR with 120Hz ProMotion, Always-On Display, and peak brightness of 3,000 nits.

The camera system receives a huge boost with a 48MP 5x telephoto sensor. It supports 4x optical zoom and up to 8x/200mm digital zoom. Alongside, two more 48MP Fusion cameras (wide and ultra-wide) remain, while the front now has an 18MP Center Stage selfie camera.

Video features expand with ProRes RAW, Log 2, genlock, plus support for Final Cut Camera 2.0 and b. Dolby Vision HDR and 4K/120fps remain.

Powering it is the 3nm A19 Pro chip, with a 6-core CPU, 6-core GPU, hardware-accelerated Ray Tracing, and a new Apple-designed vapor chamber for cooling.

Battery capacity has grown, giving up to 39 hours of video playback, 2 hours more than before.

The lineup also adds Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread. eSIM-only models expand beyond the US to Canada, Japan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and more.

Shipping with iOS 26, storage starts at 256GB, going up to 1TB, with the Pro Max exclusive 2TB option. Prices start at $1,099 and peak at $1,999.

Pre-orders begin on September 12, with shipments from September 19. Another rollout follows on September 26 in 22 more countries.
