MediaTek has officially introduced the upgraded version of its flagship processor, the Dimensity 9400+. What enhancements does this new chipset offer compared to the original model? Let’s dive into its technical specifications and capabilities.
Dimensity 9400+ specifications
Built using TSMC’s second-generation 3nm (N3E) process, the Dimensity 9400+ chipset brings improved efficiency and slightly boosted clock speeds, resulting in better overall performance.
Core configuration:
- 1x ARM Cortex-X925 core at 3.73 GHz
- 3x Cortex-X4 cores at 3.30 GHz
- 4x Cortex-A720 cores at 2.40 GHz
This configuration excludes efficiency cores and focuses entirely on delivering maximum power – ideal for performance-oriented users.
On the graphics side, the 12-core ARM Immortalis-G925 GPU remains in place, ensuring high-quality visuals for gaming and media consumption.
Additional features include:
- 12 MB L3 cache, 10 MB system cache, and 10 MB SLC
- Support for LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage
- Wi-Fi 7 with up to 7.3 Gbps bandwidth

To extend battery life, MediaTek’s Ultrasave 4.0 power-saving technology is integrated, making the chipset more energy-efficient for mobile devices.
The chipset also provides native support for DeepSeek R1, and features the MediaTek 890 NPU, which boosts AI task performance by up to 20%.
In terms of camera and video, the Dimensity 9400+ supports up to 320 MP camera sensors and enables video recording up to 8K at 60 fps.
