Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Will Not Support the S Pen!

Samsung removes S Pen support from Galaxy Z Fold 7

At today’s Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung officially unveiled its next-generation foldable flagship — the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The device stands out with its thinner, lighter, and more durable design, but this advancement came at the cost of removing the S Pen support.

Galaxy Z Fold 7 no longer supports the S Pen. Since the Galaxy Z Fold 3, S Pen compatibility has been a key productivity feature for the large internal display. However, to make the phone significantly slimmer, Samsung removed the digitizer layer required for S Pen functionality.

As a result, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 reduced its unfolded thickness from 5.6 mm to 4.2 mm, and its weight from 239g to 215g. Samsung claims it’s the lightest foldable phone in its class.

The removal of S Pen support in the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Bluetooth features in the Galaxy S25 Ultra points to a major shift in Samsung’s design approach. This change raises the possibility that future Ultra models may also drop the S Pen entirely.
