vivo X Fold5 launch date officially confirmed

vivo has officially announced the launch date for its next-generation foldable flagship – the vivo X Fold5. The device is set to debut on June 25, with the launch event kicking off at 7PM Beijing time (11AM UTC). The vivo TWS Air3 Pro wireless earbuds will also be unveiled at the same event.

The vivo X Fold5 is already available for early bookings through vivo’s official online store and partner retailers in China. Users can place a CNY 10 deposit to reserve their phone and receive a gift package worth CNY 277.

In terms of specs, the upcoming foldable is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The device will sport a main 8.03-inch 8T LTPO OLED display and a 6.53-inch cover screen.

The new model will be lighter, thinner, and stronger than its predecessor, and it’s rumored to feature IP5X-rated dust resistance – a first for foldable phones. vivo has also confirmed IPX8, IPX9, and IPX9+ water resistance for the device.
